Food has always been an integral part of my life. As far back as I can remember my mother created things of beauty for family birthdays and holidays. I saw the time, effort and love that she put into everything that came out of our kitchen. I started baking with my mom as a child but took a detour along the way. After college I spent five years in the corporate world as a recruiter/training specialist. Although successful, I decided to pursue a more creative outlet and began a new adventure at New England Culinary Institute. I realized that it gave me great joy to see smiles on people's faces when they ate my creations. I bake and cook to show my love and appreciation to my family and friends.

What started out on a folding table on 8th Street with only a few items has grown into a dream of opening a European-style pastry shop. Since my mom was my first baking inspiration, I couldn't think of a better partner to share that dream and passion.

Partnering with my daughter, Amy, in Sucrée is the culmination of a dream and lifestyle. It encompasses the most important aspects in my life- my love and devotion to family; a love of food in all its forms; and a forum to share with, and be surrounded by, friends both new and old. My foods career includes twenty years as a high school culinary arts teacher, free lance writer of food textbooks and food-related newspaper articles and advanced pastry arts workshops at the Culinary Institute of America. All have contributed to my experience and skills and fueled my passion for creating unique and delicious pastries for our business. Sucrée is driven by a partnership of experience, love and family. I look forward to sharing our dream with you!
